Davis Cup Team 1953 (Tennis) - 1953

The 1953 Challenge round set new records for attendances and saw two teenagers Lew Hoad and Ken Rosewall pitted against the experienced USA pair of Vic Siexas and Tony Trabert. Needing to win both matches on the final day to retain the Cup, the two matches stopped the nation. Hoad won in five sets and Rosewall in 4 on a drama-filled day.
