Detailed Description

Established in 1985, The Sport Australia Hall of Fame (SAHOF) is the most prestigious sporting institution in the country, honouring over 160 years of Australian sporting achievements.

With a vision and values built around the inspirational words of the Hall's inaugural Inductee and Legend, Sir Donald Bradman AC, SAHOF acts as the custodian of Australia's rich sporting history.

The Annual SAHOF Award Program and the associated Gala Dinner, is widely regarded as Australian sport's "Night of Nights, and is the marquee event of the organisation.

SAHOF is a not for profit organisation governed by a very high profile 15 person Board of Directors with office space within the MCG. 

Working in a small, highly focused team environment, this is a diverse and at times complex role that will suit a process driven, self-starter who is an exceptional administrator and one that brings strong marketing and communications skills. A tenacious attention to detail and an ability to multitask is essential for this role.

This is no ordinary admin/comms role. The successful candidate will not only have a passion for; and an understanding of Australian sport, they will also exhibit the characteristics of our esteemed Members in achieving at the highest level.

The varied areas of responsibilities include:

  • Office administration and management, including reception and some basic financial tasks
  • Communications, marketing & PR duties 
  • Event coordination
  • Meetings and Committee coordination
  • Member engagement
  • Records management
  • Management of the Scholarship & Mentoring Program
  • Travel Management
