Felicity ‘Fliss’ Wilson-Haffenden is a cyclist who was awarded a Tier 3 Scholarship within the 2024 Scholarship and Mentoring Program.
Fliss is a road and track endurance cyclist from Hobart, Tasmania. At 18 years old, she is the current junior time trial world champion and holds bronze medals in both the junior individual and team pursuits from the 2023 junior track world championships.
After representing Tasmania multiple times in both hockey and athletics, Fliss started cycling during the COVID-19 lockdowns. Since then, she has won three national championships and three Oceania championships and holds two national records.
She looks forward to joining a professional European team in the coming year, moving across the world and pursuing cycling as a career. Fliss has ambitions of one day winning Paris-Roubaix and receiving an Olympic gold medal. Beyond sport, Fliss is completing year 12 studies and hopes to have a role in athlete development after her cycling career.
