News Article_940x560_3

Sport Australia Hall of Fame (SAHOF) Board and staff are continuing to monitor and discuss the ongoing and rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation. We want to assure our Members, Sponsors, Stakeholders, broader sporting partners, athletes and Scholarship Recipients that we will continue to operate business as usual with some minor changes which will be in line with the state and federal Government policies and guidance to ensure our Nation’s health remains the number one priority.

As of today, Monday, March 16, 2020, SAHOF staff will be working remotely due to the limited access to the office within the MCG.

All staff will be available via the contact details below.

Sport Australia Hall of Fame would like to send a special mention of support to our valued partners; the Australian Sports Museum and MCC who have made the decision to close the doors to the recently re-opened Museum, MCG Tours and Melbourne Cricket Club Museum due to COVID-19.

All three visitor attractions (including our SAHOF exhibit) are officially closed as of 5:00pm yesterday, Monday March 16, following a final day of trading.

The Australian Sports Museum, MCC/MCG apologises for any inconvenience that this may cause however, the safety of their visitors and staff is paramount.

Once there is a date set for re-opening, SAHOF will support the Australian Sports Museum in advising the broader community and we encourage you all to support them by booking a visit.

Sport Australia Hall of Fame would stress that during this time we all work together; cooperatively, respectfully and humanitarianly to remain civil and supportive of each member of our community. Observe and implement the best practice guidelines for reducing the spread of any potential virus, namely; avoid handshakes or unnecessary skin contact, wash hands regularly as well as avoiding the sharing of any communal items. Most importantly, we encourage no panic buying, think of yourself and others when purchasing.

In light of this pandemic news, following is some exciting positive news. #SportUnitesUs
