Noah Asa Milford is a weightlifter who was awarded a Tier 3 Scholarship within the Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship and Mentoring Program.
Hailing from South West Sydney, Noah was born in June 2004 and raised in Bankstown, NSW. Growing up in a Samoan household and with his father Asa Milford being a former rugby league player, from an early age Noah trained and competed in various sports. Despite his family’s predominantly rugby based interest, Noah later found a passion for weightlifting which he has chosen to pursue.
Noah’s weightlifting career began at the age of 16 during 2020 training out of Shire Speed and Strength. Noah has shown an unwavering dedication to this sport which has lead him to many national and international successes, holding multiple national records across multiple age and weight classes and notably placing 12th in his international debut at the 2022 IWF Junior World Championships in Greece and placing 8th the following year in Mexico.
Noah currently is looking towards the future, continuing his career as a weightlifter as well as chasing other aspirations of his such as completing his studies of veterinary bioscience at the University of Sydney with the goal of working in the farming and agricultural industry in the future.
