Double Gold in Milano Cortina 🥇🥇
The Milano Cortina Winter Olympic Games have delivered unforgettable moments for Australian sport so far — and for some of our former and current scholarship holders.

Cooper Woods – Mogul Skiing
Cooper delivered under pressure in the moguls, claiming gold with a performance built on grit and precision.
Mentored by Rugby Union Legend John Eales AM through the Scholarship & Mentoring Program in 2021, Cooper’s victory reflects the impact of belief, preparation and strong leadership.
Eales said, “Cooper Woods is such an impressive young man and I’m genuinely delighted for him. I noticed this from the first time I met him when he asked a lot of questions and listened intently to the answers. He was always very proactive in reaching out and such a pleasure to work with. I reckon I got more out of the experience than Cooper did.”
Cooper paid homage to John Eales’ mentorship and its contribution towards his victory. Click HERE to read the full article.

Josie Baff – Snowboard Cross
At just 23, Josie stormed through the Snowboard Cross field to claim gold — defeating two former Olympic champions in a commanding final.
Josie becomes the nation’s first women’s Snowboard Cross Olympic medallist, Josie’s performance was composed, fearless and world-class.
In 2021, Josie was paired with SAHOF Legend Susie O’Neill AM as her mentor — a powerful example of experience guiding excellence.
Cooper and Josie became Australia’s 7th and 8th Winter Olympic gold medallists respectively — and with these incredible performances alongside the rest of Team Australia, Milano Cortina has already become Australia’s most successful Winter Olympics ever.
