What: Under Your Influence is a new national long-term campaign to encourage parents to be actively involved in shaping the drinking culture of the next generation – their kids.It is an initiative that aims to have a conversation with parents – one that they can join in – about the use, misuse and abuse of alcohol hopefully before there is a problem or issue.
Under Your Influence is not about not drinking; it is about setting the right example when it comes to alcohol and being able to communicate with kids, teens, and young adults.
underyourinfluence.org.au is where the conversation starts. It is where parents and influencers of young people can find videos featuring the seven Sport Australia Hall of Fame Ambassadors and other medical experts. It is where they can find information and tips about alcohol and its effects. And it is where they can join in a blog with other parents with a range of different but important views.
Over the coming months, new Under Your Influence ambassadors, spokespeople and partners will be announced.
Under Your Influence is a community initiative of DrinkWise Australia in partnership with The Sport Australia Hall of Fame.
