Brin Liddell is a sailing athlete who was awarded a Tier 3 Scholarship within the 2024 Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship and Mentoring Program.

Brin began sailing at the age of eight at Hunters Hill on Sydney Harbour. He learned to sail in a Sabot, and in 2016, he won the Sabot Australian Nationals. Alongside sailing the Sabot, Brin sailed a flying 11 out of Belmont, Lake Macquarie, and placed 6th at the nationals.

In 2017, Brin transitioned into the Nacra 15, which is the youth Olympic pathway boat. In 2018, Brin represented Australia with his brother at the Nacra 15 Europeans in Lake Como, Italy, placing 9th overall. The following year, in 2019, he competed in the Nacra 15 World Championships in France and placed 14th overall. Finishing off his youth sailing, Brin won the Australian Nacra 15 Nationals at Sorrento in Victoria.

During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Brin transitioned into the Nacra 17, which is the Olympic two-person mixed multihull. Following two years of intense training on home waters, in 2022, Brin began competing on the Nacra 17 Olympic circuit, racing in the Nacra 17 Europeans in Aarhus, Denmark and the Nacra 17 World championships in Nova Soctia, Canada, placing 20th and 19th respectively.

During 2022, Brin also placed 2nd at the North Americas championships. Most recently, Brin and his crew placed 3rd at the 2023 Nacra 17 Junior Worlds and are currently competing for Olympic selection to represent Australia at the 2024 Olympics.
