Hall of Fame Moment | 2011

True grit has never been more apparent in sport than the ride of Cadel Evans in the 2011 Tour de France. Having already chased down a 4 min break away through the torturous climbs of the Alpes-de-Haute-Province to keep himself in the race, Evens went into the final time trial stage a mere 57 seconds behind the leader Andy Schleck. Not only did Cadel make up the time, he also added a commanding 1min 34second advantage and became the first Australian to win the Tour de France.
