Casey Isles is an Archery athlete who was awarded a Tier 2 Scholarship within the 2024 Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship & Mentoring Program.

Casey was born in Adelaide, South Australia, in 2002 and started Olympic Recurve Archery in 2018. Casey reached a high-performance standard at the start of 2022 after recovering from a major shoulder injury.

Casey was able to reach this performance level due to his coach, Graham Winston, and his supportive family allowing him to use every opportunity to develop and train. He used his background in other sports and fitness activities to maximise his training and development.

Casey has since broken state records and been competitive at the national level. He has competed at the national and international level, with highlights including placing 6th nationally and 3rd in an international competition.

Casey continues to use every opportunity available through personal development and collaboration with others such as his sponsors and other high-performance athletes to develop and reach a high international standard.

“It is really an honour and means the world to me to receive SAHOF Scholarship. The financial support will be great but more importantly it is massive for someone trying to work their way up in their sport to be represented/supported by an organisation such as SAHOF, as this will open other corridors and opportunities for collaboration, development and experience” – Casey Isles on being selected as a 2024 Tier 2 Scholarship Holder
