Delta Amidzovski is a track and field athlete who was awarded a Tier 3 Scholarship within the Sport Australia Hall of Fame 2026 Scholarship and Mentoring Program.

Delta is a 19-year-old with a lifelong passion for the sport. She began athletics at just three years old, and that early spark quickly evolved into a deep commitment that has led her on an incredible journey so far in her career.

At just 15, Delta had the honour of representing Australia for the first time at the World Junior Championships in Colombia. Since then, she has continued to build on that foundation, most recently making history at the 2024 World U20 Championships in Peru winning Australia’s first-ever global medal in Long Jump by placing first, and also securing a bronze in the 100m hurdles.

These moments are not only major career highlights but also stepping stones toward her ultimate goal, representing Australia at the Olympic Games. Through sport, Delta has had the opportunity to explore the world at a young age, competing in countries including Colombia, Peru, Trinidad & Tobago, Switzerland, Belgium and beyond. In 2025 she made her senior Australian team debut at the World Championships in Tokyo. These experiences have broadened her perspective and deepened her appreciation for the global athletics community.

Beyond her performances, Delta is known for her humility, kindness, and strong sense of support within the athletics world. Raised in a small country town, she has always aspired to be a positive role model proving it’s possible to chase big dreams while staying grounded and authentic.

Balancing elite sport with academics, including a Bachelor of Laws, has taught Delta valuable discipline and time management. More importantly, it’s shown her that people are capable of following more than one path. She’s passionate about showing others that you don’t have to fit into just one box. Whether it’s sport, study, or bold ambitions, Delta believes you can pursue it all with heart and purpose.

After sport, Delta is really looking forward to using everything she has learned both on the field and through her studies to give back and do something meaningful. It’s about contributing wherever she can to make a difference. Delta might not have every step mapped out yet, but she is excited to stay connected to her community, keep growing, work in the field of law and make a positive impact in whatever path she takes.

Being a successful SAHOF Scholarship recipient means so much it’s about representing something bigger than myself. It’s an opportunity to grow not just as an athlete, but as a person and future leader. It means embracing the responsibility to uphold the values of integrity, hard work, and giving back. Success to me is using this platform to learn from those who’ve come before me, to inspire others, and to contribute meaningfully both in and out of sport. I’m proud to be part of something that champions excellence and supports the journey beyond competition.”– Delta Amidzovski on being selected as a 2026 Tier 3 Scholarship Holder.
