Mitchell Estens is a rower who was awarded a Scholarship within the 2008 Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship and Mentoring Program, he was paired with Kate Slatter OAM as his Mentor.

Mitchell was born in New South Wales in 1987.

Mitchell earned selection for the national junior 4 and competed at the World Championships in 2005. He then moved to the 8, where he was selected to compete at the U23 World Championships in 2007 and won a bronze medal.

Also, in 2007, Mitchell won three gold medals and a bronze at the National Championships in the U23 division, he was chosen as stroke in the NSW Youth Eight which won gold in the interstate regatta by a record margin.
