Sesha (Sid) Nadimpalli is a golf player who was awarded a Tier 3 Scholarship within the Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship and Mentoring Program.
Sid was born in Melbourne and developed a passion for golf from a young age, quickly becoming consumed by the sport. Sid’s natural affinity for hand-eye coordination led him to excel in various ball sports, but golf remained his true passion. He commenced learning at the Yarrabend Junior Development program, under James Hartley & Andrew Pitt, and has since been guided by his coach Andrew Pitt.
Sid is a current member of Spring Valley Golf Club, located in Victoria. Sid’s accomplishments on the golf course are a testament to his talent and hard work. In 2024, he secured a 2nd place finish at the Australian Master of Amateurs and tied for 4th at the Adidas Australian Amateur in January. By March, he placed 7th at the South Australian Amateur Classic and in April, he qualified for his Tour Card at the PGA of Australia Qualifying School, finishing 15th in his first attempt.
In May, Sid represented Victoria in the Golf Australia Men’s Interstate Series, where his team emerged victorious. In 2023, he was awarded a medal for the Victorian Men’s Order of Merit (Ivo Whitton Trophy). He has also achieved notable placements, including 3rd at the ISPS HANDA Australian Open Final Qualifying and wins at the LaTrobe Open Amateur and the Adidas Junior6’s Cranbourne Tour Event. Sid also had strong finishes in other tournaments, such as tying for 4th at the Keperra Bowl in Queensland and the Sandbelt Invitational’s Amateur Section.
Sid’s earlier achievements further highlight his consistent performance. In 2022, he won the Tasmanian Amateur Championship in November and was the Men’s Gross Winner at the Kooringal Open Amateur in September. His junior years were equally impressive, with victories at the Royal Melbourne Junior Tournament and the Box Hill Open Amateur in 2022, and multiple wins and top placements in 2021 and 2020, including the Victorian Junior Open and the National Junior Classic.
Sid’s journey in golf is marked by dedication, skill, and a series of impressive accomplishments that underscore his potential and commitment to the sport.
