Ryan Gregson is an athlete who was awarded a Scholarship within the 2010 Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship and Mentoring Program, he was paired with Nick Farr-Jones AM as his Mentor.

Ryan was born in Mount Warrigal, New South Wales, in 1990, and began middle-distance running during his childhood.

In 2009, Ryan set personal best times in the 800m, 1500m, mile, 3000m and 5000m and was named Athletics International Emerging Athlete of the Year.

At the Sydney Track Classic in February of 2009, Ryan lowered his personal best to 3:37.24 over 1500m before bettering his times in both the 3000m and 5000m in a very successful March. His 7:57.45 over 3000m in Christchurch was a new Australian junior record. In May, Ryan clocked a new personal best in the two-lap event, his fourth career-best mark for the year. A fifth lifetime best followed in June when Ryan posted 3:59.67 over the mile distance In Ostrava (CZE).

In July, Ryan travelled to Belgrade, Serbia, for the World University Games, crossing the line in 3:43.10 to just miss out on a podium finish. Later that month, he recorded his fastest ever time over one mile, clocking 3:55.05 to finish eighth in London. As a result of his stellar season, Ryan was selected to represent Australia in the 1500m at the World Athletic Championships in Berlin in August, a great experience for a 19-year-old.

At the Commonwealth Games in 2018, Ryan finished 9th.
