Scholarship & Mentoring Program News
Our 2024 Scholarship Holders have been busy training, travelling and competing at qualifying events for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, with many of them having already achieved qualifiers for the games in their respective sports and awaiting official team selection.
2024 Scholarship Holder Torrie Lewis made a bold statement at her debut Diamond League event, taking the victory in the women’s 200m ahead of the reigning 100m World Champion. Earlier this month, Torrie and 2024 Scholarship Holder Calab Law competed at the World Relay Championships in the Bahamas where they helped qualify the Australian women’s and men’s 4x100m relay teams for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Nine of our Scholarship Holders have already been officially selected for the Australian Olympic and Paralympic Team and received their tickets to Paris including Caity Parker, Marissa Williamson and Tyla McDonald (boxing), Brin Liddell and Nia Jerwood (sailing), Angus Hincksman (para-athletics), Jeff Dunne (breaking), Anabelle Smith (diving), and Leon Sejranovic (taekwondo). We look forward to congratulating many more of our past and present Scholarship Holders when they are officially announced on the Australian team in the coming weeks.
2025 Scholarship & Mentoring Program
We are excited to announce that we are opening applications for our 2025 Scholarship and Mentoring Program next Friday, 7th June 2024.
The program, supported by the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) incorporating the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), assists young elite Australian athletes to reach the highest level of their chosen sport by providing financial support and more importantly, unrivalled access to mentoring from a Sport Australia Hall of Fame Member.
Keep an eye on our social media, website and emails for further details and announcements. We look forward to providing the opportunity for 32 young athletes to join the program.
